Directions
Preparations:
- Preheat the oven to 180℃.
- Grease a donut pan with oil.
Making the donut batter:
- Mix together the plant base milk and apple cider vinegar (vegan buttermilk).
- Measure out all other ingredients.
- Whisk together all dry ingredients: flour, cane sugar, spices, and leavening agents.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all wet ingredients: vegan oat drink, fruit sauce, and melted vegan butter.
- Add in the dry ingredients to the wet, and whisk together. Do not over-mix.
- Spoon the batter into a piping bag and pipe the batter into the donut pans, filling each about 3/4 of the full. If you do not have donut molds, you can alternately use the muffin tins.
- Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes.
- Once baked, let the donuts cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
Making the berry powder coating:
- Dip the donuts one at a time into a berry powder (and sugar) plate. Flip to coat both sides evenly. Place onto a cooling rack allowing the donuts to set for 10 more minutes.
- Enjoy!
