This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase and submit your information when ordering from www.naturalnordic.fi (the “Site”), and how you can influence the processing of your personal data. The processing of personal data follows applicable legislation and the industry's self-regulation as well as generally accepted accounting principles.

Personal information we collect 

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We collect and process personal information only to the extent necessary for fulfilling the service required from our customers when using our online services. All the information is submitted by the customer when making their order, simultaneously they confirm that our policy is ok with them.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

With the help of cookies we are able to develop our online services, personalize your user experience and target our advertising and marketing to serve our customers better. The cookies do not harm your computer or files. Most browsers have the possibility to turn cookie functions off.

- “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. 

- “Web beacons”, “tags”, and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site. 

If you browse links outside our pages, these other websites have their own cookies which you have to agree to separately. We are not responsible for these third party webpage contents and cookie collections.

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”. 

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information. 

How do we use your personal information? 

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmation). 

Additionally, we use this information that we collect to communicate with you, help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns). 

Sharing you personal Information 

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. Handing over Personal data to a third party may be necessary,  for example, at the request of authorities or for carrying out a judicial process. investigating fraud or responding to queries from authorities.

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser. 

Information Security

We take appropriate information security measures to ensure the secure processing of personal data. Personal data is protected from loss, destruction, abuse, unauthorized access and transfer. Secure processing is ensured by means such as restricting access to the data and ensuring that our employees and sub-contractors are using personal data in accordance with instructions and agreements.

We have just a digital version directory in use. Only people who need the directory for their work have access to the directory as our administrative personnel, and they all have signed a confidentiality agreement and are bound by professional secrecy. All our employees have received GDPR training. Also we make sure that our directory assistants (for example web provider) follow GDPR.  

Your rights 

If you are an European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted to the extent that other legislation allows it. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below. 

You have a right to deny direct marketing or oppose the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In addition, you may influence the channels in which direct marketing takes place. 

Additionally, if you are European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States. 

When data is moved outside the EU/EEA, an adequate level of protection for personal data is ensured in accordance with applicable legislation. Shopify's Privacy Shield certification permits the transmission of data from the European Union to the United States. 

For requests related to your rights, you may contact us via email at info@naturalnordic.fi. This right can be used cost-free once a year. All requests regarding changes or removal of information should be sent to us by email. We will respond to these requests in writing via email within the latest one month after receiving the request.

Data retention 

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. Legislation and accounting principles or laws bind us to keep the records for six years even after the purpose of data processing has expired.  In such situations, we apply the storage times defined in applicable legislation.

Changes 

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
